1947 Chris Craft Rocket ~ Fresh Water in Columbus, OH

This is a documented original 1947 Chris Craft 16? Rocket with the original Hercules 95hp Chris Craft K Engine, original glass, hardware and six volt system. The original glass has some imperfections and one small crack. Restoration in 2004 included a new hull, new deck, new frames, new chines, new keel, new keelson, new transom and dry bottom. The original painted ?rocket? symbol on the side has been replaced with a decal, based on the original design. This boat was christened after restoration with the name ?Patriot? because this color scheme was only offered in 1947, the colors of our American Flag. The red seats were professionally made to match the originals with the grab straps for floatation right down to the 1936 US Interior Tags sewn over the vent holes.
